After a summer of scouting and long horse rides in the heat, it all paid off. I had a very good friend, my older brother, and my wonderful wife with me and that made it extra special. Killing a high country buck with genetics like this has been a dream of mine for a long time.

What a Dink :)

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

I glassed him up from 1600 yards away from me and was waiting to bed him so I could make a stalk. He fell and started rolling. Then I heard the shooting! I wanted to cry :)Killer buck and congrats! P.m. me if you want some trail cam pics of him.

That means there were three people after this buck all at the same time then lol. I would love to see more pics of him. I am going to make a collage of photos from the day and put it under his spot on the wall. I will post a frontal of him in just a few. Thanks everyone for the kind words.
