Does anyone know about this buck? Like what state it was killed in or when? I had it texted to me, but there was no other information other than they thought it was possibly killed in Montana.

From what i can see, looks like a way high in "the Book" buck!

Well the kids shirt says Fitgers Duluth, MN . But I don't think that looks like Minnesota to me ;-)

The picture looks fishy to me, like someone played around with the tine length on photoshop. Maybe I'm just seeing things, as pictures can be deceiving.

Awesome looking buck, that air looks thin.

Yes this is an Idaho buck and the best buck I have killed! Thanx for all the compliments and couldn't have been with a better hunting partner my son!!!!

LAST EDITED ON Nov-08-13 AT 09:15AM (MST)[p]Bgturbo lets hear the story. Whats up with the Minnesota Tee shirt ? ;-)
Welcome to the site. Its a lot of fun here, but it does get deep sometime. Put on your hip waders. :p

I usually hunt in a different unit but decided to try a different one this year after seeing several nice deer the past couple years. Spent some time looking around the area this early fall saw a few deer but nothing too promising. Season opened and glassed around for a couple days but just little bucks. Went down to glass a different spot and didn't get far when we spotted him so we snuck closer and I wish I could say one shot one kill but a little buck fever later I got the one I have been hunting for!

Oh ya the Minnesota t shirt he got it from his uncle in Minnesota, couldn't tell you why he wore it hunting but he might wear out more often if I get a buck like this every time! Lol

Bg, if you had said the buck scored 205" i'd have been in your corner. I'm almost tempted to call BS on the posted 188 score, i think, from the pic's, he looks much better than that.

In any case, he a freaking Dandy!! Congrats!!

Nope. Two different bucks with perfectly identical frames.

First buck pic is 205, and second buck pic is 188.

Thank you for replying to this post. It is a great buck and I agree with some of the others that perhaps you are a little shy on your measurements. You might want to get him officially scored. He is a typical buck of a lifetime.

LOL. That was funny Sherlock. I agre, you must have forgot to add the inside spread. Iwas thinking 200+ all the way. Its a beauty.

Theres logic, and theres women. They don't go together.

Blackdeath I agree it's a buck of a lifetime I have hunted pretty hard the last ten or more years for a buck like this. I can say hard work does pay off! And yes I am going to get him scored I will post the results.

Just guessing...

Mainbeam 24
G2 16
G3 10
G4 14
Mass 20

Total 84 x 2 = 168 with 20 inside spread puts him at 188.

I think that is one of the best looking bucks I've ever seen. Beautiful. Some bucks benefit by the scoring system and others get the short end of the stick.

This is a buck of a lifetime, regardless of what the score says. He's bigger than the tape shows. Ignore the numbers. Congrats.

Grizzly that's pretty close to what I came up with! The score doesn't really matter all that much to me he is a trophy buck to me!
