RUT/DEER COUNT YOUR AREA/UNIT???

Rut is in Full Swing here in N.E. Utah!

I Wasted 1/2 a Day today & 50.00 worth of Fuel!

This would be Info for the Western Area of the General Deer Unit 9-A!(Not the Far West of the Unit,still about 15 Miles of the Unit West of where I was today!)

Here's what I seen today:

Deer were Moving even though Weather was Crappy!

One group of 8 Deer,one Fawn & No Bucks!

One group of 5 Deer,2 Fawns & No Bucks!

One group of 2 Deer,1 Doe & 1 Three Point Buck Trailing Her!

One group of 8 Deer,2 Fawns & No Bucks!

One Group of 6 Deer,2 Fawns & a Decent Three Point Buck doing His Thing!

One group of 3 Deer,1 Doe & 2 Fawns,No Bucks in Sight!

One Group of 6 Deer,all 6 Does,No Fawns & No Buck!

One group of 3 Deer,2 Does & a PISSCUTTER Buck trying to Figure it out,He's probably trying to Breed his Mother?

One group of 8 Deer,6 Does & 1 Fan & 1 Spindly 4X3 Buck!

1/2 a Day & around 50 Deer Total!

I didn't see them all!

Even though I know there's a couple left I never seen a Buck Ruttin any older than 3-4 years old this morning!

Never seen a Buck that'll be big enough to shoot come next year!

I seen about 50 Head of Deer today where I shoulda seen several Hundred Deer!

Conclusion:

Overall LOW DEER Numbers!

Extremely Low Fawn numbers/survival Rate!

LOW Number of Mature Bucks with the Does!

Low number of Bucks of any Size!

Bucks with JUNK Genetics for the most part doing the Breeding!

Several Small Bunches of Does with not a Buck of any size anywhere in sight!

Just Stating the Truth Boys,it Ain't lookin Good!

Let's hear what you've seen in your neck of the woods/Units?

I Ain't asking for any HoneyHoles,just Unit numbers!

Thanks to Illegal Bastards & the USFS not enforcing Rules you can Zing in to them Places on Wheelers now & not see a Damn thing!
But by GAWD it don't take long for them U-Tards to get there with all the Unethical BS and the New Technology!

My hike last night, Central Utah 21a

-Group 1 4 Does, no fawns no bucks
-Group 2 6 Does, 2 fawns, no bucks
-Group 3 5 Does, 1 fawn, 1 2 point chasing like crazy
-Group 4 4 Does, no fawns, 1 NICE 4 point buck

Overall I was very disappointed by the lack of fawns, and lack of bucks.

This has been the strangest year I have ever seen for the rut. I have been seeing a ton of does every night above my house and I have yet to spot a buck bigger than a two-point up there. I have probably seen 10-11 bucks that have been rutting this year and all but one were two points. The biggest I have seen so far on the front in Ogden is a small 3x4.

After not seeing a decent buck all year, I got a little frustrated and decided to head down to little Mountain out West. There are always big old bucks rutting down there. I was SHOCKED to see 4 glarge groups of does and not one buck with any of them. I did see a two-point by himself out there and that was it.

I have been hearing about big bucks and seeing good ones killed online, but I am just not seeing them in the Ogden area at all.
