I think most restrictions have been lifted, I was up Saturday and big camp up there had a fire going. Not sure about the area your going though. We have had a lot more rain this summer than last year though.

The timber co a-holes here in Washington have announced that the woods will be shut down to recreational use even to walk in traffic, until oct 15th. Aint that just dandy? Just in time for the rifle hunters to come in after us bow and muzzleloader hunters have been locked out! Opening day last year I tried to walk into an area just across the street from my house and was nailed by a timber cop. He escorted me out and said that if he caught me or anyone else in there that it would be $1,500 fine. I went back into that area via my neighbors property and chased some elk around for a few hours. I dont put in for some of the best archery elk permits any more because it is a guarantee that Werehosers will lock us out and will have to eat a hard to draw tag. Wheres a guy to hunt when the woods are shut down? We have to wait until late season when the bulls have been chased around so much by the rifle hunters that you cant get within 100 yards of them before they spook. It is getting to the point that the only archers that consistantly get elk are those of us that have found tiny isolated pockets where the elk hold out of the way of rifle hunters. Another thing is that almost all of the roads are closed during archery whether or not there is a high fire danger but open up for the rifle hunters. If they are going to close them have them closed for everyone. Make some of those lazy bastages hike in and see how many elk they get.
Enough ranting.

We're in the same situation in the Southern third of BC. Driest year on record for most areas. Right now nobody is allowed in the bush. The fines are much higher to, $10,000 or 6 months in jail. I have to head up into to Cariboo to hunt this week. Thank God I've got some hideyholes up there. Even though I haven't scouted them this year, they still should be holding some monsters. Hopefully we can locate them and get a couple on the ground.

Down here in AZ we are doing pretty good. I went up camping this last weekend and got poured on every afternoon. Friday afternoon it hailed for about 1/2 hour the size of marbles. The ground was completely white.
