Anybody hunted 74 with any luck. I'm looking at backpacking into the high country. Seems like most of the unit is covered with hiking and jeep trails. Anybody have suggestions on areas to look at?
Hunted 1st rifle in this unit 2 years ago. I like your up high strategy. The timber down low makes it tough. That unit has lots of country above the tree line. Be prepared to climb your A$$ off.
Hunted this area in Muzzeloader season 2 years ago. Beautiful country, very steep. We saw a few good bucks but couldn't close the deal. Alot of high country, very few deer. Also be prepared the Colorado Hiking Trail runs though it and if your near the trail you will see hikers and bikers.
