I am a resident from Utah, looking for information on Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and Arizona. What I am looking for is units equivalent to Utah's LE units. I am wondering which Units to look at, also prices for non-resident. I will be looking into these states but any extra tips or information will save me time and give me information I may overlook or miss. I am looking for archery mostly for me, and rifle for my wife. I know this topic has probably been covered on multiple occasions.

join hunting fool, you may or may not trust the odds, but you wont need to ask any other questions about the western states.

To be honest Wyoming has some great deer hunting. If you are looking for the Henries you probably won't get it, but most of the units are good units. I personally like the red desert for elk.

I agree with Wildfin. Subscribe to Huntinfool. It is $100. You get a magazine every month loaded with information. It is a really expensive magazine subscription, but lots of information about hunting other states. There are lots of mixed feelings about Huntinfool, but at the end of the day they provide tons of valuable info about each of the states.

Subscribe to eastmans. Their magazines offer some good info and give you a place to start looking. They rate all the units for each state and different species. It's great for someone trying to figure other states out and see what they have to offer.

Theodore Roosevelt's guidance concerning
conservation...
"The movement for the conservation of wildlife,
and the conservation of all our natural resources,
are essentially democratic in spirit, purpose and
method."

"We do not intend that our natural resources shall
be exploited by the few against the interests of the
majority. Our aim is to preserve our natural
resources for the public as a whole, for the
average man and the average woman who make
up the body of the American people."

"It is in our power...to preserve game..and to give
reasonable opportunities for the exercise of the
skill of the hunter, whether he is or is not a man of
means."
