Just got my A6 tags (X3b) need some help

Well ya'll I'm a southern boy stationed out here in California and its taken me 3 years to draw these tags so I would like to make it count. I've talked to one old boy on another site who was kind enough to give me some advice where to hunt, but i was also hopping for a back up plan. Do ya'll have any other ideas? And plus how are land owners out here about letting people bow hunt on there property if you ask them? Well thanks for any advice yall can give....Steve

That's a tough bow hunt. Most of the deer have taken up residence down in the valley due to the cats in the hills. Best bet is to start checking with local ranchers and see if you can get permission to hunt their alfalfa fields. The blue lake area usually holds a few.
