What States do you apply in?

Curious to see what states people apply in for Mule Deer? Had recent conversation with people I would consider pretty serious hunters and I was surprised to find out they only apply in their home state.

I am not especially lucky or rich, meaning, I don't beat the odds by luck and can't afford to buy conservation or landowner tags every year. Therefore, my strategy is to put in for as many states as possible and hope to increase my odds of drawing a legit tag.

I apply in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming for Deer. Am I missing something great outside of these states?

Which states do you apply in?

I do Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Nevada. Did New Mexico before the dropped non resident quotas. Been thinking about Arizona and Idaho.

Every year I apply in my home state of Californa and Nevada, Arizona,Utah,New Mexico,Colorado and Wyoming.
This year started building points in South Dakota and have applied for and hunted in Idaho and Montana in the past.

Deer and Elk: Arizona, NM, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho (In Idaho I switch between deer, moose and sheep depending on how I feel). I also apply for moose in Alaska and sheep in MT.

Seeing that list makes me said that I struck out so many times this year. I am now hoping for a cow tag in Utah or I really will have drawn a blank.

Dropped NM this year, so only Idaho (mule deer, elk, antelope).
5 Other states, other critters (moose, elk,).

every state except wash. currently up to 280 pts.may seem I have not been hunting with those pts.but that has never happened.

I apply in MT, ID, WY, CO, UT, AZ, NV, & CA.

Never hunted SD, but have hunted MT a lot. It used to be worth the drive. Currently it isn't worth it for mulies. Both quality and quantity is down. But if you were to have a buck/ bull combo tag I would say it is worth it.

I apply in Utah(home state) Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana and some years in New Mexico. I also try and help many of my nephews who want to go hunting to apply. I apply some of my nephews for youth hunts in Oregon and washington where it makes good sense.
This year we drew good tags in all these sates except Nevada and Montana. The key thing is not not ever miss applying. This is hard by the way. And takes a lot of time.

I apply annually for archery permits in the following states: CA,AZ,NV,UT,CO,WY

I'm down to Nv, Wy, And Calif.

Calif is by far the best deal. There's good Bucks to be had and i've drawn or bought my tag, sometimes tags, here every single year for the last 48 years. I drew Antelope a couple years ago, Am Alt. Elk this year, will probably draw a good Muley tag next year, and have max points but still a long shot at a desert sheep tag.

All mule deer: ID, WY, CO, UT, and will in the future AZ, NV, and MT. Didn't draw anything again this year.
