Who else is getting the jitters? I know I can't wait to go after them bigo velvet muleys. Wish my hunt was closer so I could get in some more scouting.

I'm pumped for 10/1 - 10/4 to chase Mule Deer in Wyoming. Is there a state where its possible to get a Mule Deer in velvet during a rifle season?

Yup, can't focus in the office and hitting the hills 2-3 times a week to find "the one"... its that time of year and I get more impatient everyday

Got a muzzy tag this year in a good area (I think anyway) and my whole family will be going so I am very excited. Heading down next weekend with my dad for some scouting. Should be a great week.

In the mountain areas around Jackson that rifle opens on Sept. 15, some of the deer are still in velvet.

Idaho has some draw hunts that open august 15th, unit 39 and unit 55. Also unit 1 in north Idaho opens August 30th and runs through dec 1st, may be more of a whitetail hunt but there are some mulies up in that country
