3,000# elk

i was watching real tv today and they showed elk in wyoming running into cars and the host said " watch out for those 3,000 pound elk" lol isnt that some funny stuff??? the bulls were anywhere form 270-330 about there was about 6 of them they were nice but no elk is 3,00 pounds

Whatyamean, no such thing? I was out scouting yesterday and found a real nice herd of elk, all the bulls were running around 3500 lbs. Can't wait until rifle season........oooppss, sorry, I thought this was the Cass thread, my mistake....

You know, if it'll sell newspapers, it'll be a 3000 lb. elk to a reporter...

I have seen a 3000lb elk! Of course it was a recreation of an animal that lived millions of years ago. The program aired on the Discovery Channel or possible National Geografic and talked about extict animals. The elk are called "Irish Elk" some of racks of these animals went 12 feet in overall spread. This is not BS. They actually showed museums in Europe that have fossilized antlers and skelatal remains. Cool Program.
