These are the typical North Dakota Badlands Mule deer. Bucks in ND tend to have crab claws on the front or back but there are a few nice bucks around.

These deer are also smaller bodied deer compared to my stomping grounds in Colorado. Ear tip to ear tip is usually 22" (24" in Colorado)

Great pics! Interesting insight on the different genetic tendencies between the two states. The ND deer seem to be lighter colored as well, at least to me.
 
First thanks for posting. Second it amazes me the how much your ND deer remind me of the central Nebraska deer that I scout daily, color wise and antler wise. I've found 22" and about 160 is a mature 7 year old muley where I hunt I have found and shot bigger but it is rare. The terrain is also exactly like what I hunt.

Yes, bucks in most places are a lot smaller than most Colorado bucks. I've killed a couple in Colorado that had giant bodies. Crazy!
