Got the pic on my phone governors buck down opening day. Scored 255 in velvet. Very close person to me found the buck last year. Watched him all summer, of course he wont get any credit for it but you all know who will.Muley connection of course. The almighty dollar has spoken. If I knew how to transfer it from my phone to this site I would it'll be posted soon enough.

I don't have pics just saw them yesterday and they said it went just over 39" kicker to kicker.

I sure a pic will be posted soon.

Is this it?

I Think We've seen this Guy before?

Pretty sure it was taken in 109. Some hogs in that unit for sure!

HODAD for sure. I'd shoot that buck over the supposed 263" buck recently shot on the STRIP anyway! Congrats to all.

I didn't know that there were pine trees in unit 109? I thought it was dry plains. Doesn't matter, the buck is a gorilla.

I second your opinion YBO, but chalked it up to my unfamiliarity with that specific area. I sorta thought it was all rolling brush hills out there.

Brownlee and Hill had nothing to do with guiding the hunter give me a break,I know the 2 guys that did they found the buck and some how brownlee shows up a couple days before the hunter and the rest is history.Give credit were credit is due.

Absolutely GORGEOUS animal!!!

Nothing like smoking a monster buck with rifle during archery...

Congrats to the buck for making it as long as he did.

It's a big buck no doubt about it but it's pathetic. I videoed this buck last year several times in the private property that he was killed on. This buck was a total yard buck he would stand 30 yds off the road right next to the house on this private. These governor tags are a total joke I'm tired of these pay to play guys coming up here and shooting these so called trophy deer. Muley connection get real all the locals up here know the truth about this buck you guys are the furthest thing from real hunters. Get out your check books boyz and will find you a dandy buck it and if your lucky enough we can drive right up to it get out of the truck and dump it with a rifle on the first day of archery!!! Now that's what I call hunting.

Bucknbull, it's not called hunting, it's called paying... Only a small group calls it hunting and they are the payers and the payees. Everyone else knows what it is. (after all that is the point, otherwise why pay???) Too bad he lost his dropper, it would have been icing on a NICE cake!! gorgeous buck. Man that #109 is home to some real whoppers, hope to draw there someday.

For those who have read the playbook instead of the scoreboard the hoadad comment is funny! If he was on my wall I'ld steal that for his moniker. Beautiful animal btw.

People 109 is out in Eastern Colorado and for the most part all private if not all of it. It borders Kansas on the East end. It was not shot there!

What makes muley connections a joke? (as someone looking for a guide) Mike seems to be the guy to talk to?

Seems like jealousy for Brownlee has translated into a lot of unnecessary hate posts. I can't speak for this buck but I can assure you Mike has punched his tag on multiple stomper bucks on public land DYI high country hunts. I don't idolize these rich guys for shooting Big deer but I sure enjoy seeing the pictures.....Hate the game, not the player.

From what I know Mike has busted his butt to go find the bucks and in doing that has made friends who talk to him about big deer, how is that a bad thing, it's sad that all these "sportsmen" get jealous and hateful for a guy being the best at his job/the game.

Oh yes.... But I also know he has been caught and convicted for illegal hunting for illegal ATV use etc. It had nothing to do with finding this buck all he did was play banker to get it killed! He is a joke and in many represent what is wrong with hunting today. Old horse tooth is nothing to look up to!

Hey muleyfreak and cabinfever why don't you read the eastmans article about your boy Brownlee and his poaching conviction

Last year he was in eagle county court over some issues as well! I am not sure why but rumor had it was entering closed winter grounds with an ATV!

I can't believe the state of Colorado allows him to guide in this state with his past history. It tells everyone that it's ok to be a criminal and come here to make big money guiding Gov hunters.

Everyone has mistakes and a past, mike is in the spot light so everyone scrutinizes him, meanwhile he's pounding the dirt finding the next toad, if that's building a network or physically looking those are details, the problem with the disgruntled armchair quarter back is they always have way more time to attack.

Not disgruntled just can't believe a convicted poacher can get a guides license. I think Colorado Parks and Wildlife need to rethink their qualifications or not turn a blind eye to money

Orion, you don't need a guide's license to guide in CO. Anybody with First Aid/CPR can guide.

Freak, there is being in the spot light and there is seeking out the spotlight... If you seek it out you better damn well brush your teeth well, wait a minute... I think he did that...

Disgruntled would be what you guys would be if you saw what winds up on the editing room floor.

I just vomited in my mouth. There are so many things wrong with this statement.

Your wrong and your right there... anyone can guide for a LICENSED outfitter with a first aid/cpr card. However, one can not simply show up and guide on public lands in Colorado without being permitted in that given area. The rule does not apply for private land though. Brownlee and others like Doyle Moss either try and snuff out information of a buck living on private land and have their hunter right a fat check and then act like they found the thing or they find a buck on public land and find the outfitter in the given area and try and bribe them with some sort of commison.. They've been doing the same BS in Gunnison and Eagle County for years. I think im one of many whom is involved in the outfitting business or a general citizen of the state of Colorado who is down right sick of MIke Brownlee coming over year after year and cheating the system to make profit off our states mule deer.

Would love to see a pic of the Drama buck. What are the stats of this drama queen buck?

It is the type of people who can buy a governors tag and pay someone else to do all the work. Don't get me wrong, it would be awesome to have one of these tags and do all the work with your friends and family. That is the fun of hunting.

Not someone giving you a call, and then you flying out the next hour, shooting the buck and then leaving the same day while your trophy gets shipped to you. It would be like me paying Lebron James to take me to the NBA finals and then calling a timeout at the very end and shooting a game winning layup and receiving the MVP and I get to keep the trophy also. That is why I despise these rich dudes with their trophies and names in the record books that they really haven't earned. In fact, there should be different entries for the people who pay others for record book trophies and entries for those who go out the old fashioned way and get it done.

Well put BeDawg all you need are deep pockets and the phone # of the greatest guide in the world oh wait you need the phone # of some who knows where a big buck is, Like 2 real guides from north central Colorado. My hate is off to the real guides and you know who you are as do I.

I like you BeDawg.

Yes BeDawg very well put but this type of so called hunting will go on, it is not for me but what is a real hunter to do, just sit back and just shack my head.
