Henry Tag Turned in.

Well it feels like I won the lottery. I just got a call from the DWR to tell me someone turned in a tag to the Henry mountains for the management hunt and I am the next in line. I am happy except I don't know a thing about this area, any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated. I have a lot of work to do in order to have half a chance to get anything. If there is anyone out there that knows this area on where to start looking or what I might be in for please let me know. First of all I don't expect to get the biggest buck on the mountain but I would be happy with a 180 class management buck. do you think this is possible?

I know nothing about the mountain, but this is the second Henry's tag turned in recently. That's crazy talk.

Good luck on your hunt. I'm sure it will be awesome.

I don't think I would have the will power to turn in any kind of tag for the Henry mountains. That being said I think you can find a 180 management buck on there having seen pictures of them.

Utah has two hunts that are management hunts for muleys. It needs to have 3 points or less on at least one side (not counting brow tines).
Henries and pausngaut (spelling is wrong) are the two units.

There are many things that would be nice to wish for or say but then I would be just like him.

I appreciate everyone point of view and help that I have received, this should be a great hunt just to have the opportunity to take one of these animals is awesome. I will try to get down there and take a look in the next couple of weeks to find out what I am up against.

Don't be in a hurry.
Picking out the right one is as much fun as pulling the trigger.
By the second day the majority had shot something went home.

Buy a good spotting scope or find a buddy that has one. Those 1 inch cheaters can be tough to see.
