Headed to the Beaverhead-Deerlodge Natl forrest in MT for first rifle in a few weeks, our group is mainly interested in elk, but I have a deer tag as well. Anyone have any info on the quality of bucks in this areas? my buddies hunted this area last year for elk, and were mostly snowed out. I know absolutely nothing about this area, looking for some feedback from anyone else that has hunted this area.
