I shot my first deer in Utah when I was 14 and have held onto the antlers for the last 26 years, how would I go about getting a cape to mount them and how much would you expect one to cost? I now live in eastern Kansas, so mule deer capes are not exactly common around here.

Thanks,

Rut

I would look around taxidermy.net there is usually a lot a capes for sale on there. As far as price it just depends on size, long hair/Short hair, any damage or slipping. Good Luck.

KSL.com is great source...utahs classified site. As far as pricing goes $100 plus shipping is good price for a good cape. Double that price if you need a big cape.

any taxidermist in Kansas worth his salt should be able to come up with a mule deer cape....
