I didn't know bucks like these still existed!!
I had this sent to me and I just can't help but share.
This thing goes beyond a buck of a lifetime and falls into the buck of a century category! All I know is it is out of Colorado

Look's like the picture of a buck killed by a young hunter named Kyle and that was a few years back.

While this is the biggest buck I got in a text this weekend don't doubt that a bunch of straight hogs hit the dirt the past couple days.....
 
And I thought I shot a good buck this year in Colorado.
With all the moisture we got this last spring and throughout summer, I knew it was going to be a killer year in Colorado.
The bucks are more massive than ever, almost every deer I saw during the archery season had great tine lenghts and mass.
This could very well be the new number 2 in Colorado if all information and legalities are in check.
 
That pic has sooo many things wrong with it, I hope it was killed legally. The buck deserves that much at least! Hope to hear more good things. Looks to have been killed by an ordinary Joe, and not Mr. Money Bucks, so I like it!

Also saw another picture of a huge buck almost as big shot by a teenage girl from fort Collins . Scored 245 I think it said

Only Slightly Bigger than the Bucks I've seen this year by at least Double!

It's from Colorado. Scores 311. This deer is in my opinion the most perfect deer I have ever seen. I just want to fondle those bones!
 
I about peed when i saw the post that said 245... holy crap, not even close. 310...now thats better.

WOW. Easily on the top 10-20 list of most impressive bucks ever!!! Cant wait to hear story...
 
The other buck that scores 245 is a different buck shot by a girl . All the pics have her in the pics so I do not want to post them here without her permission. I think her buck actually score 265.

On the tag thing I did the same thing on a buck I killed in CO, it was a good buck and I wasn't leaving the antlers in camp to be stolen so I left the tag on the antlers as I would be required in Kali. Thought I was doing the right thing but should have read the regs more thoroughly. A warden came by camp and checked the buck and noticed my mistake and simply congratulated me and then corrected me without a ticket or even an azz chewing.

Great guy using his judgement to read the intent of the law and the lawbreaker and acting accordingly. IMO

The boots made me laugh because my daughter was down from college this week to go deer hunting and the only boots she had were cowboy boots, she spent half the hunt in steep country on her azz! Haha. She got a buck though, just a solid forkie blacktail but maybe there is something to wearing cowboy boots while hunting??

@trophymuley, I agree with this being the most perfect deer to ever lay eyes on. This next comment is in no way to take anything away from the Kyle Lopez deer but I think this buck looks way prettier and way more symmetrical than the Lopez buck. Again I would give a testicle to have the Lopez buck. This recent Colorado buck is the buck of my wettest dream!

Anyone hear any stories yet? NOt that it matters, Im just curious if someone nailed him on the hill above the road or what! God almighty... I keep thinking... how unreal it would be to see something like that... alive.

Now to my soapbox!! I'm not sure who some of you guys think you are to constantly be critical of people and draw conclusions without any information. Just because this person didn't pack in, isn't wearing $300 camo, and didn't take a picture like you would have they must have done something illegal. What you should really post is I'm a jealous and angry person that can't kill a big deer like that because I'm so worried about what everyone else is doing. I just can't believe we cannot all just enjoy this deer without all the crap talk from some of you!!! For those of you that enjoyed this as I did we are lucky we were able to see this. I promise I'll never put another picture on here.
 
When I dream of GIANT mule deer, this is what I dream of. A potential top ten of all time!!!! WOW!!!!! It was only a few short years ago there were debates on MM if a 300 incher would ever be killed again. Most thought the days of GIANTS were long over. Now, here CO kicks out 2 in a few short years. Simply AMAZING!!!!
 
The hunter probably shorted himself a couple hundred thousand bucks. He probably coulda went to Mossturd before it hit the net and sold the photo rights? Is it too late to get Denny The Great White Hunter, airbrushed into the photo???

You guys know something. There is a blaring discrepancy in this thread that normally people would zero in on And nobody has mentioned it and I think it shows real progress for all of us. Here is a giant deer and no one has brought anything negative. Great job guys.

Definitely one of the coolest bucks of all time.
 
So Boone and Crocket quoted the hunter as saying he knew the buck was legal but did not know how big it was until after it was dead. I sure would like more of the story. Is it possible that the guy was just out at random and managed to stumble into the buck?

Unreal to think it could happen with all the tech, money, outfitters, governor tags, etc!

Be really impressed if it is a no name little unit!
 
My guess is we will see plenty of good pictures of this deer. I think the hunter is being smart by only showing these shots. The magazines prefer to show the money shots themselves.

Amazing deer, it is deer like this that keep me coming back for more.

To put into perspective just how big this buck is, the Lopez buck taken in 2007 scored 306 3/8 and it is number 12 All time. I believe there are not more than 25 bucks that have scored over 300 all time. Just goes to show you how rare a 300 inch buck is. I have looked at the top 20 non typical mulies many times, and I don't think there is a prettier non typical than this one.

Buck came off the grand mesa. I went to college with a couple of the guys buddies whom were involved in the hunt. As far I know everything is legit...

just talked with Darryl the taxidermist,,,, he still has the antlers, DOW has not contacted him. Everything it legit!!!Congraulation to the hunter!!!

LOL... I saw it posted online almost a week ago. It will be no secret at all and if you thought it would have been secret, your a funny guy. Once scored the country would have been released narrowing it down to only a couple units any ways.

No matter what we all know that is a 1 in a millon type of buck and despite that some people will jump into that unit.

Your welcome for letting the unit out! Since I do not bother hunting in that unit, I figure it will help my odds out in my unit...

As a side note I have not confirmed the unit yet, but there is not doubt in my mind that it would come out.... Especially once they release the county of take!
 
Well if it butters your biscuit you're spot on as far as the unit. But you are right it's a once in a century buck no matter that unit
 
Let people apply for 421. They aren't going to kill anything close to that in that unit again. There's a reason why it takes 0-1 points to draw it.
 
What an insane monster buck. Congrats to the hunter.

Poor ole Denny, nor his posse were able to buy this buck and it was killed in a unit not far from where I live...Keeps the dream alive doesn't it?

Having hunted Muleys for so many years "48" and at least 4 of these big boys slip through my attempts and into someone else's good fortune; with countless others just plain outwitting me. I know it takes all the universes lined up correctly, not just the planets in this one, to make it happen. Don't know the circumstances for this giant but I hope it was all legal and fair and do it yourself. If so, congratulations are definitely in order to Brett Ross. Thanks to whoever posted the picture and keeping the desire alive, I'm not through yet. By the way I know the guy that killed the Golden buck from the Grand Mesa. One of the magnificent seven on Kings calendars a few years back, and I wondered if this buck could have come from there when the pictures first came out. Hope the tabloids don't exploit or take advantage of you like they did him.
