My little girls first buck

Well she got it done again. Though big thanks to a good friend that let us onto some land he had access to.
First buck we see is a spike. She says let's keep looking,
(dang trophy hunters....)
My buddy Troy came along for some extra eyes and he picked up her buck 800 yards away just under the top of a ridge. We made our move and got right on him. 90 yards and a quick shot put him down. She had to go quick as he was onto us. Hit him high shoulder angling away. Came out his neck.
Awesome.

Cutting the tag

Such great times. Her first elk last week and a buck to boot!
She has a swan tag as well this year.
Can't wait!

That is awesome that she is enjoying the sport that you love also. And whether it is a son or daughter it is always pretty special... but for some reason getting it done with a daughter holds a special memory.
