My son Steven Sedillos took this 26" management buck at 290 yards with his Remington 25-06! This is his third buck in his first three years of hunting! He is now 13 and is catching up to dad very quickly!

Congrats to the young man... and that is awesome he has been able to hunt for 3 years...that's crazy!

Well here are brief stories of my son's 3 bucks in 3 years of hunting.
2012 - he was 10 years old and fresh out of hunter's safety class. He drew a youth rifle tag in late November and we got permission to hunt private property. On the first day he missed a monster at 400 yards! This seems far but we had been practicing out to 500 yards. That afternoon he got an opportunity at a small 3 point and he made it count taking him out with 1 shot at 75 yards!
2013 - At 11 years old he drew the same hunt and this time we hunted public land. On the second weekend of the hunt we spotted a group of deer about half mile away and stalked to 350 yards. Steven took the first shot and hit high. We had to hoof it to get another chance and when the buck came out at 150 yards he took the 7 point with 1 shot!
2014 - late September youth hunt. I had the great fortune to get a management hunt through work and it was great! We glassed several bucks and finally found this shooter around 10 AM of the first day. We didn't get the shot but later came back to find the group of bucks bedded. Steven got all set up on the bipod at 290 yards and we waited for about an hour. The bucks finally stood up and the first shot was high but the second found its mark! He had to put 2 more rounds in him but what a great buck he is! He will look great on the wall!
