A year after a bad hunting season

It seems like from what I have seen this year Colorado had a tough deer hunting season this fall. Warm temps and little snow left many hunters with tag soup and little to no rut activity.

Does this mean that we can expect many of the larger bucks to have made it through the year and will be that much better next year? Will next year be that much better?

Yes, there will likely be a few more bucks next year, I wouldn't expect some crazy ass year of outstanding bucks next year though.
Still have winter, road and predator kills that will trim the numbers down. Then you also have to figure in if the winter is bad enough, racks will very possibly be smaller due to the bucks having to put so much energy into replenshing their bodies instead of sending it to their rack.
I would only be excited if you were watching a paticular buck or two and know he survived vs an entire region of bucks. Just too many variables.

There are many things that would be nice to wish for or say but then I would be just like him.
