Thought I would share a picture of my 2014 public land buck. No special tag, just got lucky on an unlimited tag!
This is also the first animal I have shot with a rifle. I have bowhunted my whole life and figured it would be ok to pull the trigger on this guy!

I also shot my first full velvet buck this year in wyoming!

Both are outstanding bucks. That rifle bucks body looks huge along with those great forks. Congrats on a heck of a year!!

Thanks everyone! It really was one Heck of a year. Maybe next year I will draw one of those fancy limited tags and get a 200" stud. I couldn't be happier with what I ended up with. Dale give me a call when ya can.

My taxidermy bill isn't going to be a good one this year. Here in western Montana you can draw a river bottom whitetail buck tag on top of your general tag. 2 days after I shot the big typical muley I ended up shooting my biggest whitetail to date. I really had my best year this year!

Maybe I need to bow hunt for a while and then go back to the gun !! I'd quit hunting if I dropped a buck like that. Hard to do any better !
