But I've seen 8 Albino Mule Deer in my day!

5 on the LaSals!

3 on the South Slope!

Just wondering how many you've seen & where?

I've never seen a "true" albino, but I've seen one cow and a handful of bulls here in Nevada that are definitely not the typical tan color of an elk. The first picture is a bull a friend of mine got on his trail camera and is a bull I got video of earlier that year. The bull, while still in the velvet, was about 6-7 miles away from the trail cam pic my friend got. The 2nd picture is from a member here on the site that I saved on my computer cause he was so cool looking and killed in Nevada. Hope he doesn't mind me hi-jacking his pic :)

By the responses I'd say they're rare as leprechauns! I've never seen 1 either.:D

Just the one deer as seen in the video I posted yesterday, and a cow elk that was not an albino but was all black.

A Friend of Mine seen a Piebald Cow Elk a couple years ago but I spent a lot of time & never seen it!

I heard a Tribal Member shot it!

I've never seen a Piebald!

I've seen a couple very light colored blacktails but they weren't white. One almost black blacktail. One piebald blacktail, she had small white patches on her side and brisket. One cow elk like the bull above in NV on 221 I think, on Mt. Grafton. We talked to a local who told us about a bull up in the same area that the locals called Casper. I think he said it had gotten shot just that year.

....two cottontails in pumpkin center....and a white black dude at Bakersfield high school....so 3

Here's a "ghost" deer (blacktail) I took a few years back (in the days of film cameras) on opening day. This was on one of the islands in S.E. Alaska. Somewhat common. Caused by a recessive gene.

Years ago while hunting the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in Washington I saw a albino doe and could have shot a small piebald 3pt. The following year saw a pure white doe that looked like she had brown knee high sox on. Three or four years ago roosted a bunch of turkeys just before dark and there was a pure white hen in the bunch. We thought it could possibly be domestic but we were miles deep in the Blue Mountains. Tried to get on those birds the following morning but never caught up to them.

Back in 2003 while deer hunting I shot an albino buck.

It's written in the good Book that we'll never be asked to take more than we can. Sounds like a good plan, so bring it on!

Elkass: I think you were asking about muleys since it was the mule deer forum, but these are from an email someone sent me yrs. ago of two white bulls (NOT albinos...coloration in their eyes and one has brown antlers) supposedly from a game farm (in Utah?...or somewhere?) I just thought at the time they were cool enough looking to archive! Whaddya think?
