There isn't a place to start turkey posts on this website (hint-hint) so I thought I would start one here. How many of you muley guys are turkey finatics? What a great way to get in shape and spend quality time in the outdoors during the slow time of year. I got "hooked" on turkey hunting a couple years ago and have had some incredible times afield. If you hunt where there are muleys there may be the chance you find a fresh muley shed!

Spring time Hunting Sheds usually gives some Insight on where a few Gobblers arte Hangin out!

The Mountain Birds Here are usually like the Bull Elk & they'll follow the Snow Line back in!

Jims,
I have always looked at turkey hunting as being a "poor man's elk hunt"! Perhaps you should have posted on the elk forum. ha.

I agree that turkey hunting is a blast but let's keep that a secret!

I've yet to go Turkey Hunting. I have a hard time buying a turkey tag that costs as much as a deer tag. When the price drops to $20, I'm in.

I would rate turkey eye-sight up there with elk....pretty amazing for such a tiny bead-sized eye! At least turkey hunters don't have to keep wind direction in mind.

It's amazing how expensive nonres turkey prices are! It's just another tag I have to skimp and save for.

Took a few turkeys prior to 2000. But after I moved to WY got really hooked. Since then have hunted 2-5 states a year and have taken over 55 longbeards. Only 1 state this year(WY) since I had a tarpon fishing trip and a new puppy. But next year....watch out.

turkeys has become one of my favorite hunts. Im heading to Mexico thursday to chase Goulds turkeys. Should be a real blast. Started hunting them in Iowa. Got addicted. Figured them out in Arizona, we usually get around 3 in az between my kids, finally decided to head to mexico for the GOULDS. Have 3 tags.
They worth the money. Right up there with big game in my opinion.

My goofy buddy in Montana has a turkey grand slam, or whatever they call it. He's been to Florida and Mexico chasing turkeys.

It's written in the good Book that we'll never be asked to take more than we can. Sounds like a good plan, so bring it on!
