So we decided last minute to jump into hunting MT! I can find tons of information on hunting the breaks. This is a gift hunt for my father. We have deer tags and he has an elk tag as well! We are fine hunting for either white tails or mule deer. But would prefer a better mule deer area as my research thus far seems . Elk is not our main target and would be a bonus.

So far the only area I have really researched is unit 110 and the surrounding 100 units. I am however hoping to maybe find some units or a unit further south. I was just hinting maybe beaver county or something.

I grew up hunting NW colorado, sage flats, pi?on juniper, etc. Would prefer this type of habitat to the Forrest, I know 110 is Forrest and part of the reason for a, still looking! We are public hunters and good public access is important!

Please anyone have a unit that would fit? We are truck camping, my dad has back issues and can not get far, but I will hike dawn to dusk and more if possible.

Please anyone with a couple units to consider please help! I have been to Montana 1 time in my life and am hoping I can ,ale this work as my dad has always dreamed of a MT hunt since he was a child!

Please PM with any info. I can help you hunt CO in exchange! I have helped a lot of guy in CO and just hope some of my good MOJO will help me out!

If you want some great deer hunting, especially since this is for your father, give some thought to hunting over near Glendive. I hunted there once, on private land, and had a fabulous hunt. I wish I'd maintained contact with the rancher as they were great people. Same lots of mule deer, some very nice bucks, as well as some good whitetails too. Also, lots of pheasants and sharp tails.

You could make a very memorable trip out there.
