This is my 2013 archery buck. Let's see who can guess the closest, and I will post his official scoresheet later on. Sorry about the pics had to cut them off the video because I don't know how to upload videos.

My first temptation is to go with the general consensus and say low 190's but after looking him over I think he's bigger than that. With the huge front forks and very good backs I can see him breaking 200". I'll go 202. A very nice buck thanks for posting.

I'm thinking Cornhusker is right I'm thinking that 202 mark also.
Just under 30" wide.

T45 You are the Man
That Buck is truly a giant typical. If I could take a buck like that it would be the highlight of my hunting career. I suggest you guys start guessing higher.

Sweet buck. Seems a tad week in the back for breaking 200 but I don't know much so I'll throw out a 189 gross stab.

I'd guess a frame in the high 190's and I think with the cheater he'd gross about 200 or a hair better. He's a whopper!

I think were looking at a buck with a huge body and head with big ears. The photo of him straight on shows how wide he is. It also shows super height on the G4s and G3s. On the side angels you can see his main beams are out past the tip of his nose.
I think the only thing keeping him under 210 gross are the shorter G1s.
In my humble opinion.

That looks like a 200 inch buck to me. Big-time stud. Congrats on finding and taking him. And great job on the pre-hunt or scouting pictures.

Im getting 199 gross on his frame, and 202-203 with that cheater.

That thing is a HOSS!!! for sure. good job.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he scores over 200". Live pictures tend to make bucks look like they score less than they really do a lot of time.

There's always next year

I'm pretty sure I smoked myself on this buck, on further review minus jack and coke...... This monster is clearly a 200 incher. Net mid 190s and gross 206

This is a very deceiving buck. He has a really big body and head. We had figured him no better than 190 and 27 wide while I was hunting him and he wasn't my first choice buck that year. After it was all said and done I decided I'd better take him because I was getting to the last days of my hunt. We bedded him down and I snuck to fifty yards and waited for a solid hour before he got up to switch his bed. I hit him Good and he only went about 40 yards but after he died he rolled another 75 yards down a sleep rock slide and wrecked his velvet. Therefore I had to strip him. I never put a tape on him while he was still velvet but some of you were pretty close . After. The drying period I had an official B&C measurer score him and he came out at 209 2/8 gross with the small cheater his frame was 207 4/8 his net score ended up 199 6/8 officially. He is a touch over 30 outside and 23.5 inside. Definitely a dream buck for me as far as typicals go I still can't believe I put off hunting him for the whole hunt. You truly have to hold his horns to get the feel of how big he is. Thank for all the guesses that was fun I'll post up his score sheet and a picture of the mount. Nevada gives a belt buckle for the top three typicals and non typicals every year he was the second biggest typicals killed in 2013 so I got the buckle put into my mount let me know what you guys think.

Got a pic of yer first choice buck that year? If I found the buck you killed I wouldn't be able to sleep!:D The buckle in the base was a nice touch, great taxi work! Congrats!

I find it interesting that of the first 23 guesses buckhorn was the only one who even came close to guessing what this deer really scored. Everyone else significantly underestimated the buck. There were even several guesses that missed the mark by over twenty inches.

The implications of this are interesting to me when it comes to trophy hunting. So, if you're one of these guys who is dead set at taking a 200 incher, what do you do when you see this buck on the hoof. If people really believe they can guess the score of a buck on the hoof like this, then about 80% of the guys on this thread would have passed on this buck if they were dead set on taking a 200 incher.

How ridiculous is that.

Outstanding buck and beautiful mount.

Id be curious to see where everyone came up short, I was off on the mains and spread credit.

Wild boy.....have you ever posted on MM with a couple jack and coke's in your system? Well I have! Haha :)

Are you referring to my guess, wild man?

No, buckrush. You were number 24. Buckhorn was the only guy in the first 15 posts who dared to suggest he was bigger than what everybody else thought (comment #15). Then he made a guess at just under 210 inches (comment 19) which was close to ten inches bigger than what anyone else to that point dared say.

After that, a few more people started getting brave and throwing out 210ish numbers, but it sure left the impression that nobody but buckhorn had the ... to say 210 until after he broke the ice.

The nice thing about this thread is we actually know what he ended up scoring, so it's not just a mud slinging contest where nobody really knows who's right. T45 threw it out there, and all the eagle eye score gurus took their guess. Then T45 dropped the bomb, and all but a few of you lost your B&C eyeball scoring credentials.

Sorry, lieca. Nothing personal. I have no problem with a guy who throws out their best guess and recognizes it as such. I do find it interesting when guys eyeball a great deer, call it a dink, tell anybody that disagrees with them that their an idiot and then find out they were off by ten to fifteen inches.

I would have guessed in the mid 190's, however if my goal was a 200" buck I would not pass that one up. I'd be happy with him even if he wasn't 210.

DW,

I wasn't referring just to this thread.

after the first few pics I would have said 195+, then I saw the t cam pic and went that's a 200" typical. I still under judged him. score wouldn't have mattered as I would have had a quick judge and pulled the pin! awesome buck and congrats!

It is always interesting. I'd put him just over 200" gross all day, every day. But I don't ever look at Henry's or Strip bucks, so I think I know a 200" the second I see it because I hardly ever see it! By the way, good choice on turning that fuzzy buck into a real trophy ;)
