No... lets not assume anything-nothing brewin.

great buck and I don't know the back story.
Lucky hunter..I'd like to kknow myself.
Nice trophy.. I would be proud to have the opportunity.
No story brewing.

PS.. Im not knew to the forum but could not log in under my old login so I popped in new. Hoping to get out this fall myself and see some venison.

Sounds like it could be a story of a town buck? How did that buck let you guys get so close that you had time to put the tailgate down and have her sitting on it? You'd think a buck like that would be out of the country once the truck door opened. :)

One heck of a buck though. Congrats to the hunter.

Yes his home is in Salem. I have no other motive for this post than just hearing the story. Town buck or not the hunter is one lucky dude....same goes for the Cemetery buck which I drooled over every time I went and visited him...he was killed legally and was indeed a famous town buck. The only people calling for blood are the jealous ones.

That is the buck I mentioned in the other thread. 240 ish the score and the 14 year old is someone I know son.

Doesn't matter to me if its a town buck or not...but certainly may make it easier to harvest. Just sayin......

LAST EDITED ON Aug-18-15 AT 06:25PM (MST)[p]I wonder exactly where this buck was killed since pretty much all the bench area is in salem and woodland hills city limits and it's s illegal to hunt those areas.

Awesome job Young man!! I believe his name is Jesse Harness! his brother drew the sportsman's tag a few years back. His dad is Jeremy Harness! I heard that both he, his brother, and best friend have now all taken 220"+ bucks before the ripe ole age of 16?.Im jealous!!!

That's a Poor Picture!

I got a feeling this threads going to get interesting. And no, I know nothing of it except it's a huge buck.

Congrats to the hunter! Great buck. Better to have been shot than hit by a car if it did roam the foothills.

What a slob! Congrats to the young man.

Shadow, thank you for demonstrating the proper use of 'no' and 'know'. Now lets work on 'new' and 'knew'... C'mon people.

Some more plus both from earlier in the post.

And mulebuck, before you resort to calling me a slob, don't assume that I was suggesting anything other than it may get interesting to see what people will post about the harvest of this monster buck. It wouldn't be the first time a town buck was shot and people asked questions. But I'm not questioning anything, it's not my concern, so don't try and complicate it or read anything into what I posted. And to the hunter, nice job. I hope to kill one just like him someday.
