East canyon WMA

So I'm looking to try out the Eastcanyon WMA for the muzzy hunt, just wondering if anyone has hunted this area before and if so is it even worth my time. Thanks for any info.

Long hot hike for a yearling buck. A few little bucks get shot in there every year, but it's not anything special. There's too much quite private ground within a bounce for any big buck to put up with public pressure. Don't want to burst your bubble, just want you give you an honest idea of what to expect.

Thanks for the info that's what I was afraid of and with only one day to hunt I don't want to waste it.

It's possible to find a buck in there during the muzzy hunt, but most the deer will be higher in the private stuff. The only time that place produces good hunting is when we get an early snow for the rifle hunt. There are much better areas in that unit to hunt. I would hunt the Henefer Echo unit or the public stuff on Monte before the East Canyon unit.
