Wounded deer-

I slowly still hunted the draws this morning after glassing from a vantage point for my deer. No crows or magpies to be seen anywhere.

I was able to find my arrow about 150 yards from where I shot him. The tip is not bent but the blades are bent back indicating that I did hit something hard. I hit him in no mans land in the shoulder.

I thought something was different this morning when I couldn't turn up any of the smaller deer that were in the area. I found fresh atv tracks from illegal off-road up and down the draws. I found several sets of boot tracks in the bottom of the draws and I even found an illegal bait pile that placed not 100 yards where I last saw my buck.

This pressure sure has moved deer around. I believe my deer has moved to a different drainage and is laying low for a while. All I can do is keep looking.

Only thing hard up high is vertebrae. Glad u found the arrow broadhead in tact. They can work their way in and sever the spinal cord, probably a long ways from where you last saw him never to be found. My money says he's alive and healing up. Tough critters!

I Hope them Illegal Bastards Don't Find your Buck because If They'll Brake one Law They'll Break others!

Did the HIGH COUNTRY TUNE-UP Cross your Mind?

Keep Lookin!

Hope You Find him!

Go Ahead!

Make Me take it down!

Guns are like parachutes. If you need one and don't have one you probably will never need one again.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-09-15 AT 06:27PM (MST)[p]I'm not sure exactly but I think it involves a round thru the tank or engine and a knife in at least 2 tires....elkassassin?

It involves lead in the engine block, all four tires turned inside out, pi$$ in the gas tank, missing seat, etc,etc,etc........

You ever find a wheeler far from a designated tav trail, you have the governor's permission to follow through with a free, all inclusive high country tune-up!
