First trip to the high country. Lots of anticipation, planning, and preparation for this one. I think he's a fine representative buck for the area. Not sure if he'll go on the wall as a shoulder mount or euro mount though, but either way, I like him and happy with him.

Heck of a buck for your first time up there. There might be a few more bigger than him up there, but not many. He's a good one for sure.

He is much better than a "fine representative buck for the area". Most bucks in the area will never reach his size. Shoulder mount for sure, IMO. Congrats.

Shoulder mount for sure I'd say..!! If he's not 30", he's pushin it, and though we see a lot of wide deer on this website, the truth is, only about 6% of bucks ever make the 30" mark... (I've been readin a little David Long lately). With those long beams and decent forks, I'm guessing he's a mid 170's buck..?? Maybe 180" if his width and mass make his tines look "not as long as they really are". Plus, what if you never hunt the high country again..?? If he's your one and only "High Country Buck", I'd think you would want him on your wall... :)

Congrats on a fine animal and thanks for sharing it with us all.

Great buck and I really like the picture. Just enough of a teaser behind the trees to se that great country. Congrats.

That's a beautiful buck! Shoulder mount, skull cap, european... what ever floats your boat. If you can afford it, he would make a beautiful shoulder mount.

There's a familiar face!
Great looking buck!!
Congrats!
Wyoming has been pretty dang generous this year.
Thanks for posting it up
