California Deer Association Central and Southern CA

I am proud to announce that I have been hired on by the California Deer Association as their Central and Southern California Regional Director.
CDA is a non-profit, tax-exempt wildlife conservation organization whose principal goal is to improve our California deer herds and other wildlife through direct financial support for habitat improvement and research projects.
It's charter calls for 75% of the net proceeds from fundraising to go to projects benefiting deer and other wildlife within California. Of those monies, 40% goes to Habitat Restoration and Improvements, 25% goes to Land Acquisition and Conservation Easements, 25% goes to Biological Studies (Research), 5% goes to Equipment and Supplies, and 5% goes to Public Education and Youth Projects.
Now more than ever, California Deer herds need our help. Be it by tax deductible donation, sponsorship, membership or volunteerism. If you are interested in joining or helping support a banquet, I can be contacted anytime. We hold 30 big game banquets throughout the state of California so there is sure to be one near you.

Congrats to you Kevin!! It is in all our best interests that you feel successful and that you can make a difference in your new position.

As much as we feel that we have already lost, we still are hunting and thanks to many involved people such as yourself, we hope to continue in our passions, our outdoor heritage.

Thank you Joey. Trust me when I say, I am going to do everything in my power to make a difference and to help our hunting situation in California. Spread the word. We need more hunters to join CDA. With well over 100,000 deer tags sold in California, we have only about 6k members. Where are you located?

Thanks for putting in the work, Kevin. Will any banquets be planned anywhere near Santa Maria, California? We have a FNRA Banquet and a RMEF Banquet every year but have yet to hear of a CDA Banquet being held here. Congrats on your achievement.

Funny that you should mention Santa Maria, it is one of the areas we are looking to expand to next year - the 2017 banquet season. However, if I found a motivated group of guys (hint hint) who wanted to hold a banquet later in the 2016 season, say June or July, I could pursuade HQ to do it. Right now the closest banquet to you would be Paso Robles. Lots of guys go to the PR banquet from SM. We will also be holding a brand new banquet this year in Ventura in February.
Feel free to contact me anytime if you want to talk about chapters in your area, habitat projects, or even starting a new chapter banquet committee!
