What is your widest buck?

That buck I killed this year has a 31" mainframe and 37" outside spread.
My second biggest has a 29" mainframe.

There's always next year

Here is one I found this year and would have been my widest buck to date, but I moved my camp to chase a different buck that is only 15 1/2" wide inside spread and I am very happy with my decision.

This is my biggest....period. 26 1/2 wide when I shot him. This evening hunt was very surreal. I had just talked to my wife via cell phone about 3 minutes before seeing this buck and she had broken the news to me that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I was in a fog walking down the mountain...given up on the hunt for that evening. When I saw him standing there with 2 does all I saw were antlers so I got down and shot him. I saw him fall but didn't actually get my hands on him until the following morning when I went back up to bone him out. I had to get back to the hotel to talk to my wife about what we do about her cancer. I never got to enjoy the harvesting of this buck...my biggest to date. My wife is all good now but this hunt will always be a strange one in my life. I want to go back to NV 192 and really be able to enjoy it.

33incher. 29incher with 9 inch drop tine.30 inch 5x6heavy.29.5 bow buck5x5.28incher.4or5 26to 28 inchers.i dont have a clue how to post pictures or i would.to be honest i dont care how big the bucks are i just like to hunt. i have passed on some good bucks.took a friend hunting once wouldn't give him bullets till we found a good one. he had a itchy finger for any buck. he ending getting a nice buck.if i shot a buck early in season i had to go back to work. i usually got one the last day imagine that.the drop tine buck i let go didn't think he was that big. then i got to thinking the boss was kind of pissy on the phone last night thought i better take him boom got to him then i saw the drop tine glad i got him.good luck every one an merry christmas.
 
"My widest buck" I never killed, but it was one from my earliest hunting memories I aspired/hoped to get one like or as big as my Dad's 33 inch, deep forked 4x4. I still remember its hog-body...236 lbs field dressed. I am honored that he passed it down to me to put on my wall. Best I've been able to harvest were a couple of 26 inch 4x4's.

My widest was shot last year on public land. just an old reverse 3 point with some character. I glassed him up from across the canyon. Had no idea he was anything bigger than a two point until I walked up on him, dead.

In 2000 or '01 , cant remember , I killed the widest small buck Ive ever seen . Its a 29 3/4" wide 3 point and grosses under 90" B&C .
 
I'm not sure why muley hunters are so fascinated with width? Maybe the long gone widest buck contests that gave away a jeep?
I have a 31 3/4" buck which is real nice, but not near as impressive as my 27" wide 200" typical.

I'm not sure why people are so fascinated by score. I'm personally more proud that my 2015 buck is over 37" wide than being a 200" buck but that's just me. Your buck is awesome.


There's always next year
 
My widest is 31 1/4" but have several others that don't make the mark that are just as good or better bucks and dozens of mature trophy, for the area, Blacktails that i'm partial to.

When younger, i thought by now that i'd have a goodly pile of big mature muley bucks to my name but with out of state hunt costs becoming increasingly expensive, they're tougher and tougher to come by. They have been for me anyway. If to do it over, i'd still hunt big muleys when i could but put more efforts in the other big game animals as well.

...and then there's the guys that are just flat lucky! :)
