Here is a pic of a buck that was recently hit by a car off U.S. Highway 64 in Unit 2B! They're saying 221 5/8"

One of the handsomest and best bucks killed this year IMO and i do see 220+. Monster!

It may have been the car that killed him but i'll wager what got him there was following sent of or right behind a hot doe so you young bucks, take heed! lol

I've seen this, just makes me that much more sad I was never able to pull that tag when I lived there! that thing is a dream buck.

Seen many like him and bigger, Never killed on like that but I have seen a bunch of them, mostly in Dec and Jan

That's a sad end for a great buck. A true giant. Is his left mainbeam broke off and layed up for the picture?

LAST EDITED ON Dec-11-15 AT 06:43AM (MST)[p]Left main beam is intact; it just looks to have a little bit of palmation on the end. There are a couple more photos on the NM forum. He is a beast, and it's a bummer he went out that way.

Where's your sawzall?
I gotta start carrying mine in the car! haha

Helluva buck for sure!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-12-15 AT 10:22AM (MST)[p]I helped my buddy hunt 2B two times in the last 5 years in the early November rifle season and we never saw anything even half that good!

Longun asked, "If its a roadkill...are they eligible for B & C???"

To my knowledge and almost 100% pretty dang sure, Yes! It would just be like a "picked up" scull, they are scored and entered all the time. They concentrate more on the Animal itself, than the Hunt or Hunter, as it should be.

Dave....I tried to call your cell on Wed. around noon time and all I got was a busy signal. I was in Evansville and having lunch then headed west.

Go to the Santa Fe G&F office some time. Most of the bucks there are road kills and quite large......but there are no deer in NM!
