The buck of luck

My cousin took this buck back in October a friend and I finally were able to put a tape on him. 44 3/4" of mass and a gross score of 228 1/2 it sir is an impressive buck. He took the buck on public land in a general hunt. He was doing anything but trophy hunting when he happened across it. It just so happened to be the first buck he saw. And yes that is a small 5 point elk shed being held up by it.

Super buck. Big time congrats. I'd sure like to hear the story. That's a great buck for a general area.

That first pic looks like it was taken in the 70's. That buck is a stud. Your bro is stoked. That is a buck of a lifetime.

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

Antlers mean very little to him although after my jaw droping reaction he does know he has something special. I am just glad his dogs aint chewing on it in his front yard.

It's unfortunate that he apparently didn't understand what a truly rare specimen of an animal he had before cutting the skull plate off like that.

That is a giant buck and one that most people will never even see in a lifetime, let alone kill on a general season hunt. Hopefully you have instilled a new sense of awe and respect into your friend for what this animal is. If he cares so little about antlers, maybe he should gift them to you. :)

No Gator, it's ALWAYS better to be lucky than good! haha

Even though some of us hate to admit it, luck plays a huge role in our success. The key is having the skill to take advantage of a lucky situation.

By the way, that's a STUD of a buck. He can get a cape and have the buck mounted to pay tribute to the animal and to testify of his luck.

Who say's that luck doesn't help? lol I'd rather been lucky than good!

Bump for big bucks!
