So who all has read this book and what do you think?

Hunting Big Mule Deer: How to Take the Best Buck of Your Life

Robby sent me a copy last summer. I've read about half of it. I need to finish it. I was just thinking about it and thought it would be a good topic of conversation.

Did you learn anything from the book?

I am about half way through as well. I would recommend it so far. You can always learn more when it comes to mule deer. He is a straight shooter for sure.

I read it last year, and killed my biggest buck yet. Coincidence? Yes, but I still enjoyed it!

It's on my list, but I've not read it yet. I believe the author's credentials are well established.

I've read the book and have enjoyed it. I fly a lot for work so I pretty much read it on one round trip flight to Dallas and back. It's a great book and I would recommend it. I have learned a few things that I have always wondered about if they were true or not. After reading he pretty much solidified what I always wondered. The book was hard to put down, made the usually boring flight go by extremely fast.

I have not read it, but wanted to say that I am about as old school as you can be. I was dragged kicking and screaming into the tech age. However, I have to say I love my kindle. It goes with me when I fly and unless it is a backpack hunt, in my pack. Doesn't matter the book, thick or thin, the kindle fits.

I bought this book some time last year, and finished it not long after it arrived at my house! I'm at the point where I will need to read it again, just to refresh my memory, so i wont go into too much detail of what's in there. But it is a GREAT book! Two quick observations I remember having after completing the book are, Robby really covers the lost art of still hunting in the book, and there are a LOT of big buck pictures in there. The authors dedication to Mule Deer hunting makes David Long look like a weekend hunter. Robby definitely has the experience and bucks to back up his claims in his book. For $20 or $25, you cant go wrong with buying this book.

Sounds like a great book will need to read it, thanks fellas

I read it last year and also killed my biggest buck. There are a few things and reminders that I believe attributed to it. Great book.

I thought it was a good book. I have read a lot of books about mule deer hunting and IMO they all offer something. Some of the main points of this book are discussions of still hunting and being able to pass on decent bucks in order to kill a big buck. I enjoy every book about hunting I read, you can never learn too much.

I liked Robby's book.......I enjoy everything that has to do with mule deer.

Great book for sure (well worth the money, especially if you have a kindle) as there are not many good books out there on Mule Deer hunting other than Long's, Schuh's, Eastman's.

There are a few interesting comments that could rub a few the wrong way:

1. Friends with Kirt Darner (might have to re-read my Darner book after reading this as there might be more truthful good info there)
2. He flys to find big bucks, including in Western WY. From his point of view it doesn't sound that productive, interesting.
3. Use of radios in an instance....
