Im wondering when the division releases the tag numbers for limited entry deer units? i put in for a new unit, wasatch east late muzzy (new november inline-rifle).. Being a new hunt and having no idea how many tags would be available i put in with 8pts, wondering if i even have a chance of drawing? whats your thoughts?

You never know with new hunts, the dates this year are better, about a week later. I would think 8 to 12 pts would be the winners.

35 permits for that hunt this year....

31 res, 4 NR.

LAST EDITED ON May-05-16 AT 08:43PM (MST)[p]I'm wondering why this was not posted in the UTAH forum, things are getting a little out of sorts with all these state specific postings under the general elk and deer forums. (venting, and tired of reading about every Utah issue or tag number question).

It would have been pretty easy to decipher the topic of this thread by its title. If you're tired of reading those posts, just stop reading them.

As for the question, it's tough to know on a new hunt. With that many tags, I see it being a little lower than the other late muzzy hunts. 8-9, maybe? Heck...might even be a point or two lower. Then again, I could be way off and it could come in at 12.

should I have posted pictures of my 2015 buck in the Utah forum because that's where it was killed?

How did those late muzzy hunts pan out last year. Id love to see pics on the bucks killed with those tags. Looks like a fun hunt Id love to kill a buck with a muzzleloader I just cant seem to stop bowhunting though.

>success rates mean nothing, how's the
>quality?

I know of one 190"+ buck killed last year on one of the Southern units.

There's always next year
