Switching it up

So I have decided to switch from rifle to archery here in Utah. I have taken several bucks that I consider good bucks with a rifle. Of course I want to get more nice bucks. However, I don't want to be so picky that I never get any experience or very little with my bow. In the end when I'm out hunting if I see a buck that would make me happy to take with my bow I will go after him. Just wondering if any of you made the switch and have any wise words you would like to share? Thanks.

That is the very reason why I do the dedicated hunter program. I enjoy getting out with bow, muzzleloader, and rifle. I had a hard time picking just one weapon. Plus, the more I'm out in the field, the better my chances of finding a nice buck.

You'll have a ball hunting with archery tackle.
SureShot summed it up pretty well. You'll wonder where all those buck have been when you've been out with your rifle.
Way more good bucks will be seen and count yourself really lucky if you kill one in the next 5 years!
I didn't "switch". I've bow hunted way more than rifle hunted and, back in the day, hunted both seasons with succes. So, I can't talk about "switching it up" but I can say it's the best deer season we have!
Keep us posted,
Zeke

I will keep you posted for sure. Thanks for the responses. 5 years is a long time. I should have a few out of state rifle tags to ease the pain (hopefully). I have seen all the bucks when I'm scouting in July and August, that is one reason I decided to switch. Last year I was able to find a buck that I scouted in August during the rifle hunt. If you have Eastmans Hunting Journal issue 153, check him out in page 72. Thanks again.
