Platte Zone Nebraska

Hello all,

I drew a rifle tag for Mule Deer in the Platte Zone in Nebraska. Got lucky to draw and am really looking forward to my first mule deer hunt.

How is the hunting in this zone and what can I expect. I don't see many posts regarding mule deer in Nebraska.

Can't wait for November.

Platte zone in Nebraska is a great area for chasing Mulies. It's in the "mule deer conservation area" and had the highest mule deer harvest in the state.

Are you hunting public ground? Or have private land access?

I've hunted Sandhills and Calumus West units for past 5 years (I'm local to Nebraska, so getting a permit is not a problem).
