Been chasing Muleys on public land here in Nebraska for past six years with no luck. I've got some feelers out there with friends and relatives, looking for private land.

Outfitters in NE typically want $2,000+ for unguided hunts, much more for guides and lodging.

I'm looking for unguided hunt (just access to land), no lodging or food.

What would be a fair price to pay? Thanks, D.

I hunt Nebraska a lot for whitetails, muleys and turkeys. A good guided hunt on private land with meals and lodging runs $4,000-$5,000 for a 5 day hunt. Trespass really varies with the property quality but my experience is $1,000 to $2,500 for five days. Like all areas Nebraska has some very good and some not so good areas. BE CAREFUl...one born every minute and two to take em!

Wise words, thanks.

Dad, brother and I hunted turkey on private land for 30+ years. Lost that privilege as the 92 year old farmer wants to let his grandkids hunt. We didn't pay lease fees, just built a relationship, met him for lunch daily, gave him fried chicken and bloody Mary's. Sad day. So looking for turkey spot as well...
