I was once told the distance of a Mule Deers "Ear Tip to the other Ear Tip" = 22"

Is that correct...? If such is true, what is the spread of this Monster Muley...?

Jagerdad :)

It varies considerably, genetics and age. It is a average starting point.

I shot a buck in the bookcliffs in 05 with my bow that had 28" ears. Thout he was about a 25" buck because he was about 4" past his ears. Was super stoked when he was 32 lol

I do Know him Bess, went on a couple scouting trips with him up their. His buck is right at 30" wide and scored a little over 180. Great buck for sure.
