Heading to area 36b in Idaho by Clayton. Looking for advice where I might be a good place to find some nice bucks in that area. Thanks Glenn

Ive hunted 36B for Deer, Elk and Bear. Early on the decent Bucks are hard to find (in my experience), but the later on the hunt goes, the better it gets. I hiked more than 80 miles last year and saw VERY few decent bucks... That being said, i was back out there after the season, and the rut was beginning, and there were "monsters" everywhere we looked, right off the road, in the same area. Find a point, and glass till your eyes bleed

Kinnkinic creek is a good access point that you can hike in from in the clayton area.

Thanks for information just got back, you were right hard country. Hunted that area you told me to go. Its seem clayton is more of a wintering grounds. Lots of old sign and lots of elk tracks. Needs a lot of weather to get them out of that high country. Got a nice 3x2meat buck. Thanks again the information.
