LAST EDITED ON Oct-20-16 AT 04:05PM (MST)[p]My father and I drew out for the rifle hunt this year on this unit. I chose primarily due to proximity to home. Taking my Dad who hasn't been hunting for over 35 years. I started to get into hunting about 4 years ago. Have loved every aspect of it and wish I could have shared some good memories with Grandpa and Dad, however never got a chance to go with Grandpa prior to going on the big hunt in the sky. Looking to get some good quality time with Pa in this year (and hopefully years to come).
I've hunted this area in archery and extended pretty much every year but primarily stayed here locally on the Wasatch. We have been thinking of heading up to the Uinta section (by Whitney) however curious if anyone else has hunted up in that area and any thoughts or input. Any feedback welcome.
Mobility is a primary concern for Dad so unfortunately looking for areas that do have roads, of which I know we won't be alone.
