Well, my daughter drew her first deer tag here in Nevada. Harvested with my muzzleloader at 103 yards. Passed on some smaller ones. Said she wanted at least a 3 point. Asked her several times if she'd be happy with this buck as she missed once and then realized 500 yards away from utv that I had no preloads on me. Another story. Ran down the hill and reloaded and ran back up to her. Deer stayed and the next shot she connected. Very happy girl and proud Dad.

First buck with a muzzleloader - VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! Getting your first buck with a muzzleloader and having your Dad there - PRICELESS. Great job Nevada Guy!!!!

She was a little nervous of muzzleloader. I told her that in the field your adrenaline is soo high you don't notice. On way back after killing she told me I was right about that. I laughed. She actually handled the 50 cal pretty good. Good enough I'm not buying her a point for bull again next year. Putting her in for muzzleloader.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-16 AT 03:07PM (MST)[p]Thanks for the kind replies. She was shooting 100 grains of Pyrodex (2-50 grain pellets) and a 250 grain Hornady SST saboted bullet.
