OHA life member,lapine oregon-----i have hunted it several times on a nonresident tag. i have brought home 2yr old bucks every time but one. in 2005 i taged a 4yr old 3x2 with eye gaurds 22" spread. where we hunted some years you will never see another deer hunter in the field, just road hunters passing by. as a meat hunt on years with no good drawings it is a good hunt for exercise and field time. i have seen very nice bull elk and big bucks on this tag and in 2005 the largest buck in idaho was in our hunt area, still breathing as far as i know. my uncle has been hunting muledeer for over 50 years and he said it was the largest buck he had ever seen. that is saying a lot, they hunted nevada in it's hayday and he has killed bucks over 200". if someone draws the unit 40 big buck tag, contact me privately, i'll give exact location to the right hunter
