Wow...

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

Thanks for helping with the pics Mr Bess ! I've hunted Mule Deer for a long time but never thought I'd even see one like that. A huge shout out to Blake Owens (bonecollector777) for his great help in my research last winter and for volunteering to help us on my hunt. I hunted with Daniel Franco, Jay Lewis and Burnt Timber Outfitters and I can tell you that they are the best. They'd been after this buck for 3 years but he had 9 lives. They knew where he lived and had the patience to wait him out so that I could have my opportunity. It is the trophy of a lifetime for me and I couldn't be more grateful !! I'll let you score guys do your work but I'll give you a clue. He has 20 inch 2's and 27 inch beams. THANKS. Chip

Nope, East Central Az. I got him a week ago yesterday, October 30. and no, I'm not the one who shot him through the base of the right antler :)

Wow, what a buck. I come up with 210 gross. I feel sorry for the guy who did may the errant shot, but glad for you that he didn't blow the antler off! Well done.

Holy cow - congrats on a dream buck!

Amazing the antler was not shot off. I am pondering whether this is Interesting example of what bone does to a bullet on impact. Not a direct comparison as bones in the body are more flexible versus the antler and I suspect that he absorbed a tremendous amount of energy with his neck which resulted in the antler remaining on his head. I bet he still had a headache when you gave him permanent Advil. Enough pondering - enjoy a buck of a lifetime.

Way cool! That's way I love mature mule deer bucks, there can be so dang different, one from another ....... like a box of chocolates. I've looked at a lot of huge bucks over 60 years and never seen one configured quite like that one. Spectacular, once again. Thanks a ton for sharing.

I'm going to guess 201" gross typical frame with 14" of nontypical points. That would make my guess 215" gross nontypical.
27" main beams and 20" G2's are huge.

I Know you said you didn't do it chipc!

Don't ever Aim at the Antlers on a Buck like that!:D:D:D

Haha... Yeah. Except that I have video proof that it wasn't me :) Another hunter in the unit shot at him and hit him in the antler. There is a video of the whole thing on-line. Out of respect for the other hunter and his guide I'm not sure I want to post it here. If you're really interested PM me and I'll tell you where to find it.

As usual you guys are really good at scoring from a photo. He's 214 6/8. I just walked over to the table and picked up his rack again to be sure :)

>Wow that rack is really cool
>never seen one like that.
>what did he score

I'm Guessin 214-6/8" !:D:D:D

THANKS Blake ! I'll never forget your help. I'm not sleeping with it but its sitting on the dining room table where I can see it from darn near anywhere in the house :)

Actually it sounds like the Huntin'Fool and Epic are interested. I sure hope so. I could use some new bino's !

Congrats, that thing is IMPRESSIVE! The antlers look like the Bocephus logo below it! If you'll stick your tongue out and comb your hair just right, ole Hank might have himself a new logo!

So?

Can We Call Him the BOCEPHUS BUCK?:D

Phenomenal buck Chip!!!!

I missed one similar to that this year. Just a solid 4x4 no inlines, and better fronts.

Congrats.. I am green with envy!

Thats too bad man. I'm sure you're sick about it. You just don't get many chances like that. You'll just have to find one bigger next year !! GOOD LUCK

You're welcome. Thanks to you guys for all of your kind words. When you guys on here say its a big buck its a big buck. I've been admiring your bucks for so long I still can't believe its me this time. Thanks again. Chip

Man, what a stud-of-a-buck! Good for you. Awesome
