Wow, rich mans party for sure! That's a lot of coin. Where does all the money go? Or, does it just cover for the event and the food?

I wouldn't say a "rich man's party". I spend more than that on one trip to Cabela's or Sportsman's Warehouse.

The money raised goes towards projects within the state of Utah. for those you came to the National convention in January, they saw a large poster of where the money from our MDF banquets in Utah are going to this year.

We will spend over $416,000 across the state on wildlife habitat projects choosen by our members and their repsective local chapter committees.

In Utah the projects for the 2006 year are:

NORTHERN REGION

Northern Region Total Funding Allocated / Approved $ 30,000.00

NORTHEASTERN REGION

Northeastern Region Total Funding Allocated / Approved $135,452.00

CENTRAL REGION

Central Region Total Funding Allocated / Approved $ 92,478.00

SOUTHEASTERN REGION

Southeastern Region Total Funding Allocated / Approved $ 27,550.00

SOUTHERN REGION

Southern Region Total Funding Allocated / Approved $131,225.00

Total Funding Allocated / Approved $416,705.00

LAST EDITED ON Feb-06-07 AT 03:05PM (MST)[p]Daren, Arn't you muddying the water with those numbers? The conservation permit funds go to those projects, but the banquet monies can be used by MDF anywhere, for almost anything.

I was involved with MDF in the late ninties and got out of their game because they never seemed to do anything, but spend funds elsewhere. Are you saying that all these funds (banquet, raffle, membership, etc) will stay in Utah? I highly doubt it. Conservation tag monies, yes. Banquet proceeds, no. Big differnce there.
