Why the sudden interest in Idaho Whitetail tags?

They sold out in record time (before Oct 26). Last year sold out before Nov 22. Always could just drive over and by them over the counter. What caused the spike in interest?

I can't speak for everyone but in my case i struck out in the draws.Idaho's Whitetail was one off the only tags i could get that fit my vacation schedule.I've never hunted there but i'm hopeing it can be my fall back hunt in the future.

Have you tried to draw a NR deer tag lately? ID is about the only state thats OTC, plus you have a huge population in WA and OR that are looking for quality hunting away from the crowds.

And piggybacking on bambi... a whole lot of WA hunters got the boot from their more regular hunting grounds due to fires.
