First time for me to ever draw a Lope tag, this one is good for either sex. But I won't shoot a Doe, going for a Buck only.
Been in that area only once and will have to figure out when the best time would be to go, not sure if want to go on the "opener" of the season Sept. 10th or wait.

Any suggestions welcomed, thatnks.

Brian

there is a lot of antelope that migrate into that area so the longer you wait the more antelope there will be to choose from. there is the potential to kill a really nice buck in that area.

Congrats on drawing that tag Brian,I hunted 92 last year around the 20th. and saw lots of Antelope.I drove through unit 93 from Green River, meat locker,on highway 372 and saw lots of Antelope along the road. You won't have a problem finding a good one.Talk to some of the gas well workers there all over that unit and might have a big one spotted...good luck..Devlin

93 is the best unit for quantity in SW Wyo. Antelope are everywhere. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you go on the opener, they will be a little less skiddish, if you wait, they get very, very jumpy. It's a great tag to have and you can't wrong with it. Drop me PM if you have any questions, I grew up in Kemmerer.

I would expect more hunters to be out opening weekend and after that time you would likely have the place to yourself. Wyo antelope usually are in rut around the 2nd week in Sept through the first week in Oct. If you wait until early Oct they start herding up pretty good and aren't in the rut as much. Obviously if they are herded up there are more eyes to spy you and a lot tougher to stalk!

Think I will be going for the last full week of Sept. as Oct. 1st is the opener of Deer season and that will be a night mare trying to hunt Lopes and contend with Deer hunters having the game running all over the place.

I received a Refund today of $30 guess that is because I had paid for the tag & PP and drew the tag. That pays for dinner now at Star Hotel in Elko, LOL.

Yeah Kilowatt, We struck out this year in NV, UT, and CA, but lucked out in WY with Antelope 91 and Deer 128. buckspotter7

Brian,

That sounds like it's going to be one fun trip.
Better behave yourself, heard them Wyoming jails aint
real plush.

I'll blame it on Eelgrass, he looks pretty sneeky and them redneck cops don't take to sneeky people. LOL
I'm sure we will have a great hunt, but in separate units.
Brian

I hope both you boys bust a Whooper.
Eel needs the meat to sup. his meals on wheels.

You still watch him. The law might think you're a
hostage or something and want to detain and question you.

That would get off into good hunting time.

I've alerted the Coor's brewery and Jack Daniels that
y'all are en=route.

They said they'd appreciate a little more warning next time.

Damned glad to hear it for both of you.

Damn Larry,

You should have waited about 7 minutes longer to make your post, check out the date and time. LOL

Never mind, it wouldn't work.....no such time as 7:77
Dang, that won't work either, I give up as tried to put 77.
