Thanks for posting my pic vinihunt. I'm 6'2" so use that for proportion. He has 55 1/2 main with almnost 21 " g4's and 17 1/2" 3's.

The game and fish officer scored him at 387 gross but I measured him about 3 times now. I came up with right at 380. But I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I have until nov 25 to get him officially scored. We'll see if he makes the all time book but I think he might end up within an inch we'll see. Yeah I'm getting him mounted and he will be on display at the RMEF banquet and the elk seminar. The cool thing is he doesn't even have a chip off any antler and his deductions are going to be less than 4 inches or so. I think this is the bull that tore up my dad's. They were shot within 600 yds of each other. His pic is posted in another thread. The fun part was dragging him out from under the cedar tree before we dressed him out to take pictures. The story will be in a couple magazines about our hunt. Hopefully Trophy Hunter also. I want to wish everyone with late hunts good luck.. thanks

No I actually used my .300 mag. I shot him at 325 and 350 yds with 180 gr trophy bonded bullets. I wouldn't have been able to take that shot with my .270. I think I might actually bring my .300 on my deer hunt also. We are going to the strip (13b) and I think there's still some luck left in the barrel. I've only shot small guys with my .270. But I will have it along just in case. I'm kind of superstitous about this kind of stuff. Call me dumb but I'll try whatever it takes.
