I was just curious if any of you have had any luck in this unit in the past. I have a bull tag for the Nov. hunt and am getting a little itchy to go. I have filled tags in other units, but this is my first time in 7E. I am not asking for your favorite hunting spot, just wanting to know how it went.
Thanks and good hunting.

Good luck getting an answer I asked the same thing a couple weeks ago and no one responded. I've got the 7w bull tag next month. I was up there in 7e for the cow hunt with a buddy and I saw a few hung up but I didn't see any bulls running around. Good luck,
Jeremy

Jeremy, I didn't think anyone would respond with any pertinet info. I was just wondering how others did. I read your post about 7w a while back and saw the backlash of responses when someone gave you a spot to glass from. Good luck on your hunt.

Bryan,
If you pull out your spotting scope and look to the north into unit 9, maybe you'll see me during the elk hunt. Hope the PM was helpful (although you weren't asking for hunt'n spots). Again, good luck in 7.

My wife has 7E this year. Went looking for the elk and had no problem finding them. Lots of elk in both sides of 7.

I posted this reply on another forum and just wanted to cover another one
I’ve been reading thru the forums and I am in the same boat I drew my first ever elk tag and it was 7E late rifle bull. I’m from california (don’t shoot me) lol I have read the Arizona game website and I have put in 3 scouting trips so far, I have seen plenty of tracks, sh*t and most recently this past weekend some rubs from the rut... but I have yet to find one elk, I have been all over this unit hiked tons of miles glassed my ass off but it just seems these elk are super elusive.. as the season is fast approaching I’m getting a little bit more worried not finding any elk just some sign. I’ve contacted the game warden who manages this unit as to some help where to begin way back in April and have since checked the areas he told me to but I guess my question is can anyone on here help me out with any info that might help me this season? I’m not looking to shoot a big bull just trying to have a good time and not picky at this point knowing what I know now.. any info someone is willing to share for my next scouting trip would be great or even tactics on these bulls for this new comber on elk hunting!
