I need help!!! Is there any decent public hunts with the geberal Non-resident tag? Will be hunting mulies in miles City 15 Nov - 21st. Anywhere close to there. Would be willing to trade hunting Mulie's or Elk on my ranch here in New Mexico for hunt there? We have our own ranch tags good till Feb 28th.

I don't know about that area but from what I saw down in the southwest part of the state there is lots of public land with some real good hunting if you dont' mind hiking or taking horses in.

There are no general rifle elk tags within several hundred miles of Miles City. SOrry. However, if you do want to hunt, there is UNLIMITED opportunity once you get a couple-three hundred miles west.
