Me and the 'Warden' went 2 for 2 in a spike unit. Not as easy as I thought it would be going for a spike only. Llamas got a good workout 2 days out of 7 days. I invited ya 'muzz'!!

Sorry bud I been going nuts
Anyway we had a ball (well atleast I did) my cousin is a little pissed though he work really hard getting to the elk the fog came in and the elk started going nuts bugle after bugle and cows cherping I heard at least 20 bugles and my cousin heard over 30 anyway he got within 200 yards of a nice 6 point and blew it then he looked up and there was another 6 point not as big but 260 class he blew that too then he followed up on the shot only to climb over a hill and find that bull and another 6 point at 100 yrds and blew that so to make a long story shorter he was pissed off and really disapointed It took him 2 hours to get to the elk and 3 hours to get back to the truck and think about it
P.S for anyone thinking that he should have tried to get closer or to have practiced more keep it to yourself as he has practiced and there was no getting closer it was just not his day

Ut...I was waiting for ya to call me to go pack out his elk on monday morning. The Middlefork WMA is a cake walk for packing out. Atleast you 2 had a fun day and sounds exciting too.

I wanted to thank you for the offer of packing out Pleasedeer if he would have got one we could have used all the help we could get..
I hope everyone has or had a great hunting adventure in 2003 as I have not had a tag in my pocket this year but have had one of my best hunting years
first hunting with my son for elk and ending with an nice 5 point and hunting with my wife down south with my cousin and his girl freind and just having a great time down there to this last hunt with my cousin who worked hard but just didnt have that luck we all need in hunting at times
Im off to Jackson Hole Wy tonight with the wife and my 2 daughters for my wifes cow elk hunt (p.s my son is staying home so everyone keep a eye out for a 15 year old LOL)

Should be good for you weather wise. It has snowed 4" and another 1-3" expected tonight. So hopefully the game will be up and moving. Good luck! Let us know of your adventure. What unit did she get drawn for?

Well we had a good time it was great weather as it snowed every night and we could look for new tracks in the morning
We seen quiet a few elk but they where not in are unit (she had a 79 type 6 tag)
Anyway we seen lots of elk a couple big muley bucks and lots of moose one was huge I wish I could post a picture of them on here it was a Toad we called it to us and my wife thought it was GREAT
I was a little disapointed to the fact that when I was comming back there was no big bucks in areas I like to look for them (Big Piney)
and I seen lots of dead deer on the side of the roads mostly fawns but a few small 2 and 3 point bucks ...
Anyway we will be headed back up this thursday nite to go at it again
